So the ‘powers that be’ have put their foot down, and smoking tobacco is now banned from public places.  This means that we can no longer spark up a fatty in the bar here.  Which is both good and bad.  Good cos the non-smokers amongst us don’t get lung cancer, and you can go to bed without stinking of smoke.  Bad because, well, lets be honest, noone likes to move when they’re nicely toasted.

But, its not the end of the world.  We have turned a small part of the back area of the hostel into a beautiful outdoor smoking area, and the kitchen has been annexed to form a small indoor area for late at night, to keep the neighbours from complaining.  Its just a few small steps from the bar, so its not too bad, even for the laziest and most stoned.

This is all a work in progress, so bear with us while we iron out any small problems.

Outdoor area is open from 9am-9pm.  The indoor area is open from 9pm until the bar closes.  (We are in a residential area, so we have to keep the noise levels down).  You can also go for a nice romantic walk/smoke in the Vondelpark which is literally across the road from our front door.
