About Us
The Flying Pig hostels are all you could wish for as a backpacker in Amsterdam; a bar to relax or party, chill-out indoor smoking area, a guest kitchen, good comfy beds and the real Amsterdam life right outside our door. But most importantly; staff and guests that just love being here!
The Rijksmuseum, after a decade of rebuilding, renovation and restoration, will finally reopen to the general public from April 13, 2013.
To celebrate this the Flying Pig Uptown will be giving away two free tickets per day from the 14th to 20th April to a lucky guest on check-in.

The Keukenhof has opened its doors again for the new season! The park is 32 hectares wide and has 15 kilometres of footpath. Keukenhof has surprises in store for visitors of all ages. Be sure to bring your camera along on this unique experience. The park is filled with blooming tulips, hyacinths, daffodils and other spring bulbs. At Keukenhof you can gain inspiration and relax in the beautiful surroundings!
The Flying Pig Beach Hostel is only 12 km from the Keukenhof and a popular jump off point for daytrips to the Keukenhof.
Keukenhof is open daily till the 20th if May 2013. Open hours are 8.00am-19.30pm. It is also open on Sundays and public holidays!

Did you know?
Where Keukenhof is situated now, was a hunting area in the 15th century. Herbs for the kitchen of the castle of Jacoba van Beieren were also collected here; hence the name Keukenhof.
